Our Process
-
After you get in touch with us, we have an initial phone or zoom conversation to better understand your project goals, budget, timeline, and general scope.
-
We turn your design preferences and functional preferences into a realistic vision for your home.
We create plan layout options and architectural sketches to show you what's possible - all within the budget you set. Using mood boards and material palettes, we select high-quality materials and products that meet your design and sustainability goals.
-
Navigating permits can be complex. We manage this for you, ensuring all documentation meets local regulations.
Our detailed drawings and specifications ensure that every aspect of your project is clearly defined and executable. A good drawing set helps contractors provide accurate bids and reduces the likelihood of errors during construction.
-
We source and purchase all interior finish materials and fixtures, making sure they are on site when needed. This keeps construction moving smoothly.
-
Construction can be a harrowing process - dust, noise, debris. But we are on your side during this process.
We hold the contractor accountable to the design. We take care of all the technical details and questions, ensuring that the contractor's work is high quality and aligns with the design vision.

Our Approach
Function First
As architects, we firstly consider the use and flow of a space. Does it work well? Where does the light come from? The views? Where does the homeowner spend the most time? What do they use each room for?
Then we get to work on improving the flow, the views, the light, the feel. Sometimes it means a drastic change, like moving the kitchen to the other side of the house, or enlarging the house into the garden. Sometimes, it can be as simple as taking down a portion of a wall or removing some cabinets.
Material Palette
We gravitate toward natural materials - wood, stone, metal ceramics, natural fabrics such as linen. We love to brighten the earthiness of these materials with pops of color and ample natural light.
Our goals are simple. We want to design homes that are comfortable, useful, and beautiful.
