The owners of a this beachfront condominium in San Francisco’s Richmond district approached us requesting a full interior renovation of the 90’s-style interiors.

We removed the existing dropped ceilings and opened up the wall between the kitchen and dining areas for an airy feel. Pulling visual inspiration from the ocean and nearby Sutro Baths, we used colors like teal and frothy green, wavy and undulating patterns, and bleached wood textures.

In the kitchen, we used floor-to-ceiling IKEA cabinets due to a tight budget, but we splurged on special touches such as lovely solid brass pulls and a built-in banquette to provide ample dining seating (as well as hidden storage). The old painted fireplace surround was replaced with a sea-green marble hearth and fluted ceramic tiles.
